Thomas K. Mendel

Attorney Thomas (“Tom”) K. Mendel is an experienced and aggressive trial attorney who is dedicated to obtaining justice for his clients. Tom graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree. Tom is admitted to practice in the State courts of Missouri and Kansas and the United States District Court for the Western District Court of Missouri. He is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bar Associations, the Clay County Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, Missouri Association of Consumer Advocates, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. Tom has been named a Missouri and Kansas Rising Star "Super Lawyer" every year since 2012 identifying him in the top two and a half percent of lawyers in Missouri and Kansas. Tom is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million verdict and settlements. Less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. Tom is a member of the National Trial Lawyers "Top 40 under 40" and "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" a professional organization composed of the top trial lawyers from each state. Tom was proud to serve as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Ray County, Missouri from 2015 to 2017 and as a Special Prosecuting Attorney for Clay County, Missouri from 2016 to 2019. Tom is the former President of the Clay County Bar Association and has helped lead his local bar association since 2011. Tom has also volunteered as a youth soccer coach and is as Eagle Scout and has served as the Cubmaster and Pack Chairperson for Pack 374 in Liberty, Missouri. Tom is a member of the Liberty Rotary Club.
