Mortgage Fraud Trial Results in $100,000 Judgement Against Broker.

$100,000 Trial Verdict

My client was awarded $25,000 in actual damages, $50,000 in punitive damages and $25,000 of attorneys' fees against a mortgage broker for forging my client's signature and refinancing his home loan without his permission.  The title company and notary entered into a confidential settlement before trial. 

The verdict was affirmed on appeal which was briefed argued before the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District by Trial Attorney Thomas K. Mendel.
